Tobi (she/her) joined Footsteps in August 2021 as the Director of Clinical Services. She supervises our therapeutic one-on-one and group support services, provides clinical and programmatic support to our Family Justice Program, develops partnerships to expand access to affordable culturally-competent mental healthcare and resources for our members, and advises on trauma-informed best practices and policies for the organization. Tobi has a background in organizing, public policy, and 15 years of clinical experience with survivors of complex trauma from oppressed and low-income communities, and she aims to support people in living full, dignified lives free from coercion.

Prior to Footsteps, Tobi worked as a Senior Social Worker at Legal Services NYC, where she provided counseling, case management, and advocacy for undocumented immigrants and survivors of intimate partner violence as they navigated the legal system. Tobi holds a Master’s of Social Work from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in women’s and gender studies from New York University.
