Rebecca has supported Footsteps’ fundraising efforts for almost a decade as a consultant and joined the staff in January 2024 as the organization’s first ever Director of Institutional Giving. As co-director of the development department, she works to engage institutional supporters to mobilize the resources necessary to support Footsteps’ mission. Rebecca has been a professional fundraiser for almost 20 years. She has rallied resources and crafted stories for many social change organizations through her consulting practice. Prior to starting her own business, Rebecca was Director of Development for GoodWeave, which was founded by Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi to end child labor in global supply chains. The through line in her career is supporting people in their pursuit of freedom (whether physical, financial, or religious). Rebecca holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, College Park along with a citation in Comparative Religious Studies.
