Ophir (they/them) joined Footsteps in August of 2021 as the Economic Empowerment Program Coordinator. Ophir manages the Footsteps Educational Scholarship program, provides educational counseling, as well as programs focused on educational access and economic resources for our members. Prior to working at Footsteps, Ophir worked at OutFront Minnesota supporting youth, educators, and parents in creating safe school environments for LGBTQ+ youth. They strongly believe in advocating for people to be able to get the resources and support they need in order to achieve their personal goals. Ophir holds bachelor’s degrees in international studies and political science from Macalester College.
