Jess (she/her) joined Footsteps in December 2017 as Footsteps’ first Director of Development. In her current role, Jess oversees two of the organization’s most important assets – our people and culture. Jess has over 15 years of experience working with human rights and social justice nonprofits, activists, NGOs and grassroots groups to mobilize resources, build stronger internal capacity and create more equitable and sustainable environments. Having grown up in an insular orthodox community herself, Jess is a passionate advocate for autonomy, choice, and freedom for all. Jess has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Smith College.
