Fei (they/she) joined Footsteps staff as an Economic Empowerment Program Associate in 2026, after joining as a member in 2021. Fei provides educational and vocational support services to members, including helping Footsteppers find jobs and connecting them with educational resources, such as our student cohort. Having grown up in an insular ultra-Orthodox community herself, Fei is passionate about helping people live self-determined lives despite previous barriers in their paths. Prior to their work at Footsteps, Fei worked in other community-focused roles, including creating statewide campaigns to educate about housing rights, assisting those in the immigration process, and tutoring youth from marginalized backgrounds. Throughout their career, they have been guided by their goals of amplifying underheard voices and connecting people with essential resources. Fei holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from SUNY Oswego.
