Join Footsteps and the Brooklyn Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic on Tuesday, April 14 at 12 p.m. for a workshop to understand tax and family law issues. This session will provide an overview of federal income tax issues that come up in divorce, custody, and co-parenting. The topics we will cover include: handling joint marital tax debts in a divorce, filing status, who claims the minor children, and for which credits, as well as dealing with identity theft and financial abuse. There will be time at the end for Q+A.
