Footsteps is pleased to welcome back poet and teacher Jessica Greenbaum who has led numerous writing workshops with us in the past. These 90-minute gatherings, which will stress poetry of the everyday through close observation of our own lives, will have two parts. We will divide the time between reading engaging, accessible poems from contemporary writers, and also include participants writing their own poems to a variety of prompts—or any way they choose to engage their own poetic voice. No previous writing experience is required. No need to bring in previous writing. All voices are welcome! Please note that this session starts at 6pm sharp. The Zoom session will be open at 5:50 if you’d like to settle in and schmooze. We’ll start the session by writing. There will be opportunities to share work for those who care to, and opportunities to talk about the relationship between close observation of our own lives to making meaning—and making art.
